Memoria, 2019

Commissioned by the City of Loveland Public Art Commission as a new work to replace previous memorials lost in the 2013 flood.

When the 2013 flood tore through the Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park in the Thompson Canyon west of Loveland, it destroyed than 50 memorials located within the park. Memoria will honor and continue the spirit of those memorials by “providing a place of memory and contemplation.”
